SP/5 Robert S. Lawrence. We have just arrived at the 7th Ordnance Company (special ammo), our Korean duty-station, where we will be stationed for the next 13 months. We will be living in a quonset hut, and have been assigned our bunks and foot lockers, and here is Bob Lawrence unpacking his duffle bag and sorting out his stuff for the next 13 months. We were in a state of shock and felt a little numb about the whole chain of events. The numbness started immediately upon our arrival in Korea via a 707 jet plane, and the shock began when we were transported by bus to the 7th Ordnance Company about 2-3 days after in-country processing at Ascom City.
