SP/5 Neil Mishalov striking a macho pose with a Colt .45 caliber pistol strapped to his waist. I was issued the pistol in order to have a means of protecting the secret military documents that I was transporting between 8th Army HQ, and the 7th Ordnance Company during my twice daily mail runs to the HQ in the Yongsan section of Seoul. I never had to use the pistol. In fact, I never fired the pistol, not even once. But, it did feel good to have it strapped around my waist. June, 1968
