Up and Over Mount Tamalpais

Mark Sapiro and Neil Mishalov decided to climb to the top of Mount Tamalpais (2,571 ft) via a direct route from downtown Mill Valley (60 ft). We cranked up Summit Road and then took the Temalpa Trail right to the top. It was cold and windy at the higher elevations, and we did not spend many idle moments at the summit. Then it was down the north side on the Eldridge Grade to Blithdale Ridge Trail, where we dropped back down to Mill Valley. 2,900 ft climb, and 5 hours on the trails. Date:16 April 2002.
